At home, three loving cats ranging from two months to four years old keep me busy. They are my world.
Advocating for the ones who can't speak for themselves is my favorite part of this work. Making sure those around me are happy has been part of who I am for as long as memory serves. Helping people always felt like my place, and after having a pet of my own as a child, their pets became a huge part of that equation.
A deep passion for animal welfare led me to this field, along with the variety of adorable patients who come through the door every day. Problem-solving through brainstorming and active listening allows me to support each patient's needs and alleviate client concerns. Pets are important family members, and helping to provide them with lifelong care means a great deal to me.
My training was completed at PIMA Medical Institute, where I graduated in 2018. Lakewood College is also part of my educational background.
Veterinary medicine appealed to me from a young age, which led to a blossoming career in the intake department at Seattle Humane. Certifications as a Certified Veterinary Assistant and a Pharmacy Technician support the care I provide today.
Volunteering with the Seattle Humane volunteer program has continued throughout my career. Meaningful volunteer work gives me continued purpose in making a positive impact and doing work I genuinely love, all while sharpening my skills and developing knowledge along the way.
Working with animals has been my focus since 2018, in both shelter and clinic environments. Those years have included roles as an assistant and as a supervisor.
