Phinney Ridge and Greenwood sit on the other side of the hill from us, and the drive is short and unglamorous — west on 65th, down off the ridge, and north on 15th.
Why Come West Instead of South
Most Phinney and Greenwood clients who register with us say some version of the same thing: everything else meant going toward the city.
Going west gets you a full-service practice without the part of the trip people dread. There is no bridge in the way, no crawl down Aurora, and no hunting for a paid space with a nervous dog in the back. Our street parking is free, it’s a short walk, and when you leave you’re pointing back at the hill rather than sitting in whatever downtown is doing that afternoon.
Getting Here
By car — NW 65th St west until it drops off the ridge, then right onto 15th Ave NW. We’re a short way up on the east side, north of Market.
By bus — the RapidRide D Line runs the length of 15th, so a transfer onto it from Greenwood Ave works fine. Plenty of our cat clients prefer that to parking.
Park on the side streets just off 15th rather than on 15th itself. Check the signs — some blocks are time-limited.
What We See From Phinney and Greenwood
A lot of walking dogs. Phinney, Greenwood Ave, the zoo loop and Green Lake add up to a neighborhood of animals that cover real distance every day, and that shows up as sore joints earlier than owners expect, worn pads, and the occasional limp after a long weekend.
That’s the work we spend the most time on for this part of the map: pain management and arthritis care for dogs who are slowing down and whose owners have put it down to age, allergy and skin work for the itching that doesn’t stop when the season does, and ordinary wellness visits with enough time in them to actually talk.
New clients are welcome, and we’ll take records from wherever you are now.
