What We Collect

What you send us. If you submit the appointment request form, we receive the name, phone number, email address, and details you type into it. We don’t require an account, and we don’t ask for payment details anywhere on this website.

Parts of this site are loaded from other companies, and those companies can see that your browser requested the page, along with your IP address and basic technical details about your device. That applies to the map embedded in the footer of every page and on our contact page, to the automated check on the appointment form that tells a person apart from a bot, and to the analytics described below. We don’t control what those companies do with that information, and none of them are given your pet’s records.

What We Do with It

We use it to contact you about your request and, if you become a client, to provide veterinary care. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Your Pet’s Medical Records

Clinical records are held in our practice management system, not on this website. You can request a copy of your own pet’s records at any time, and we will send them to you or to another veterinary practice when you ask us to.

Advertising and Analytics

We advertise on Google. If you arrive here from one of our ads, Google sets a cookie so we can tell whether that ad led to a phone call or an appointment request. What comes back to us is a count, not a name — we can see that twelve people called, not which twelve. Google may also use that same cookie to build its own advertising profile of you. That part is Google’s, governed by their privacy policy, and it is not something we control.

You can turn this off. Google Ad Settings lets you opt out of ad personalization, and every major browser can block third-party cookies. Nothing here depends on them — the appointment form and the phone number work exactly the same either way.

Retention and Deletion

Inquiries that don’t become appointments are kept only as long as needed to respond. Clinical records are kept as long as Washington State law requires. To ask what we hold or to request deletion, contact us at (206) 784-3810 or office@thefamilypet.org.
