Crown Hill sits directly north of us on the same road. There is no clever route and no shortcut to learn — 15th Ave NW runs from your end of it to our front door, and that is the whole journey.
The Practical Advantage of Being Close
Proximity matters more than people expect, and it matters most on the days you’d rather not be having.
A pet who is vomiting at eleven in the morning can be seen at two. A dog who has split a pad doesn’t have to sit in a car for half an hour first. A cat who screams in the carrier screams for five minutes instead of twenty-five. And when something needs a recheck in three days — a wound, an ear, a limp — three days later isn’t a scheduling problem for you.
It also makes the dull things easier to actually do. Nail trims, weight checks, a blood pressure on an older cat, dropping a urine sample off. Those are the appointments people skip when the clinic is a trek, and they’re the ones that catch things early.
Getting Here
Head south on 15th. We’re on the east side of the street, a short way north of Market. The RapidRide D Line runs the length of 15th, so the bus genuinely works from Crown Hill — useful if you’re bringing a cat in a carrier and would rather not park.
There’s street parking on the side streets just off 15th. Check the signs, because some blocks are time-limited. On a busy afternoon the quieter streets a block east are usually emptier than the ones right by the door.
What We See Most From Up Your Way
Crown Hill has a lot of yards, a lot of long-standing family dogs, and a fair number of indoor-outdoor cats. That mix shows up in what comes through the door: year-round parasite prevention that actually needs to be year-round here, dental disease in middle-aged dogs that has crept up quietly, and senior care for the dogs who’ve been in the same house for a decade.
